No heat. No cooling. Right now.

If you smell gas: leave the house, then call your gas company — that call comes before ours. Everything else, start here, then call us.

What is your house doing?

Two minutes of safe checks and a clear description on the phone shorten every emergency visit.

No cooling in summer heat

Shut the system off at the thermostat if you see ice, keep blinds closed, and call. Check the filter and breaker first if you can do so safely.

AC Not Cooling guide

No heat on a freezing night

Confirm the thermostat is set to HEAT and the fan to AUTO, check the breaker and the furnace switch on the unit. If nothing responds, call before the house cools through.

Heating Repair guide

Burning or electrical smell

Shut the system off at the breaker. A dusty smell at first seasonal startup is common; a sharp electrical smell is not. Call with the details.

Emergency service

Water dripping through the ceiling

That is the air handler drain. Shut the system OFF at the thermostat — cooling keeps making water — and put a bucket under the stain. Call for a drain visit.

Loud noise at the outdoor unit

Buzzing, grinding, or screeching usually means a failing motor, contactor, or compressor. Run it as little as possible until it is looked at.

One room wildly out of temperature

Rarely an emergency — usually airflow, duct, or zoning. Note which rooms and which times of day; it speeds the diagnosis enormously.

Emergency calls get honest triage.

What you can safely do now, when we can be there, and what the visit involves — set on the phone, before anyone rolls.
